Confessions of a Recovering Procrastinator

By Golda Smith

Hello everyone, my name is Golda and I am a recovering procrastinator! I had the pleasure of being on a conference call a few weeks ago with the great Jeffery Combs. Who is Jeffery Combs? He is the president and founder of Golden Mastermind Seminars. An accomplished author, speaker, and coach he is dedicated to helping people achieve their goals and dreams. I seriously suggest that you google him for more information.

The topic of the webinar was procrastination, which I have been guilty of more times than I care to admit. Why do we procrastinate when we know how detrimental it can be? Jeffery answers this question through his 10cd set called…you guessed it, Confessions of a Recovering Procrastinator, which I review in this article. I have to admit that I actually spent about 20 minutes trying to decide if I should purchase this product. The insanity of it all, but that is exactly what procrastinator’s do isn’t it? I did mention that I am a recovering procrastinator didn’t I?

I purchased the product and patiently waited for its arrival. A few days later, it arrived at my doorsteps and I immediately sat down at my laptop and began listening. I love Jeffery’s tell it like it is style, so if you are easily offended I suggest you grow a thicker skin and learn not to take things personally. He first paints the picture of a procrastinator and talks about how it hinders you.

Over the next few cd’s, Jeffery breaks down the six procrastinator personality types, which I will quickly share you here:

  • The neurotic perfectionist
  • The big deal chaser
  • The chronic worrier
  • The rebellious rebeller
  • The drama addict
  • The angry giver and over committer

Jeffery does an excellent job of not only identifying who these people are but why they do what they do, how they interact with others, and how it makes them feel. He clearly lays out the blueprint on how to change this debilitating behavior.

There is also a 40 question procrastination quiz at the end and I suggest that you take time to really go through and honestly answer the questions. Now of course this only works if you work it. Do you want to go from a procrastinator to producer? Do you know a procrastinator? I think that this program would be the perfect present for you and for them.
What was my procrastinator personality type? I was a cross between the big deal chaser and the rebellious rebeller. How about you?
