Dani Johnson’s Laws of Success For Executive Moms-Part 2

by golda on March 31, 2011

On Tuesday I shared the first 4 laws to success according to Dani Johnson. In this article, I want to share the remaining five. She has such a way of breaking things down to the absolute ridiculous that you may have wondered how on earth you missed that before.

The Law of Desire- Everything in creation has a desire. Everything! So, what do you desire? Are you sure that is what you desire because your desire reveals your results. I know that made some people a little uncomfortable but so what. Dani Johnson has a strong desire to help people become better business builders and you only need to read and listen to the hundreds of testimonials to see her results. That is vision, desire and faith in action. Look at the results you’re getting and then ask yourself if this is your desire? You may be surprised with what you find.  Those who are teachable get groomed for success while the know it all’s are groom for failure, so you decide right now, what’s more important…your ego or your bank account?

The Law of Teachability- What you know has gotten you where you are right now. May be you want to read that last sentence again. Whatever you want to accomplish in life, you find someone who has already done it and copy exactly what they did to get there. This is such a simple formula to follow but it is just as simple not to follow. What would prevent someone from following this simple model? EGO. That small three letter word has kept some people from stepping into all that they were created to be. Being teachable gets results but then again so does allowing ego to get in the way. The question becomes, what kind of results do you want to see in your life?

The Law of Forgiveness- You may be tempted to go right over this paragraph and get to the “good stuff” well let me tell you that THIS is the “good stuff”. If you are harboring ANY ill feelings towards anyone then you will always find yourself dealing with some issue. We all go through pain, betrayal and disappointment but the 2% will realize and say that they have a choice to forgive. Dani walked us through an exercise in forgiveness which left me emotionally raw. I’ve been through exercises in forgiveness before; however, there was something different about this or perhaps that just the way I saw it. What I realized is that I had a serious blockage and in that moment I saw how it had affected my life both personally and professionally. My advice is anyone that you need to forgive, do it because without forgiveness, you’ll be broke and in bondage.

The Law of Promotion- This is such a simple law and I’ve heard Dani teach entire lessons on this law alone. The law of promotion simply says that if YOU can be faithful with your time, money, or influence, then you will be given more. Wow, how amazing is that? You want a pay raise, then carefully use the small amount that you receive now. Pay your bills on time, save some, give some away, and for goodness sake, do it without complaining or worrying. You want more influence then take care of the small amount you currently have. If you have 2 customers on autoship, be thankful and treat them as if they were the last two customers on the planet. The grass is not greener on the other side so prosper right where you are planted. Remember, it’s the little things that make the difference.

Law of Honor- Honor is a skill and skills can be learned! Everyone wants to feel special and important even you. Just think about the last time that someone said something that instantly put a smile on your face or just made you feel like you were loved. This is much easier than you think and there are a few ways to honor someone. The first is to smile. Now everyone can do this and it’s FREE. Smiling is a choice and it has been proven to make others feel special and important. The second thing to remember is that the number one topic that most people have is them self. So if you want to truly honor someone, then learn more about THEM and what’s important to THEM.

Like I mentioned, there was a great deal of information shared this past weekend and this is really just the tip of the iceberg. Does it work? All I know is these laws have helped Dani and thousands of the people pay off debt and build profitable businesses so I think she knows what she’s talking about. So ladies, it's time to get your shine on and build for success in all areas of your life. I’d love to know your thoughts so feel free to leave a comment and share with your friends on facebook and twitter. Until next time….

Hey Golda, I love Dani… she is an inspiration.

This post was very inspiring.  These laws are all common sense and not difficult to put into practice if we are willing to.  As you say often it's Ego.

The Forgiveness one got me.  I am not a grudge holder but I have someone in my life that is… it's terrible to see and feel the effects of.

Thanks for such a thoughtful post.

As you probably know, common sense isn’t always common, but we can still hope can’t we?! You know Dani did a forgiveness exercise last week that completely broke me down. This was clearly the law that I needed to work on and had needed to work through for some time now. What I learned from that exercise is that I need to ask for forgiveness everyday until I no longer have to. Until I do that, I’ll keep slipping back into that anger that is blocking me from being ALL that I am meant to be. Thank you for your comment Jayne 🙂

Golda, aloha.  From your post, it was obviously an info packed weekend.  You must feel terrific for having attended and learned.  No matter whether you call it the Law of Desire or knowing your Why, it is essential for people to know the reason they are doing/pursuing something.  As you know, Golda, far too often people list "shoulds" or what they think you want to hear rather than the real reason.

Because we know that this business, like any business, is a roller coaster ride, we have to have a strong enough desire or why to pull us through the challenging times.  People who are doing for somebody else or because they think they should, rarely survive the tough times.  To me, Golda, what is unfortunate about that, is that all of us want more our of life. We just have to learn to define that "more" so that the meaning pulls/pushes us.

In my almost 20 years in this industry, teachability or lack thereof is one of the only 4 reasons people fail.  If people either don't have access to a coach or are uncoachable, there is a high probability that they will fail.  In this day and age with the resources available online, it is no longer key to have a sponor/upline who is a great coach.  There are so many fabulous coaches and mentors online that, I believe, everyone has access to a coach.

The last point I want to comment on is Honor.  If a person does not honor themselves; they cannot honor others.

Thx so much for sharing your weekend with us, Golda.  Best wishes for a great weekend.  Aloha.  Janet

Aloha Janet,

Thank you for your thoughtful comment. Without desire you will forever find a reason to procrastinate on going for your goals. Also when ever I hear someone say that they aren’t having success because they don’t have a coach, I laugh. There are so many examples that people can plug into if they are looking for leadership. With regards to honor, you hit it on the head. It starts with honoring yourself first! Aloha to you Janet and have a fabulous weekend.

Hey Golda! Loved that video as I hadn't seen it previously.  It helps to get to know you a bit better! You should do more 🙂
I've only heard of Dani a few times but hadn't been a follower. The laws seems so common sense that you're right – not sure how some folks miss them. I'm sure you had a great time this weekend!

Thanks for sharing with us and reminding me about Dani. I need to go check her out again 🙂

Hello Kesha from St. Louis 🙂
Thank you, I’ve done over 100 videos, just haven’t made one in a while. Dani is a very passionate trainer, that’s what I love about her. She tells it like it is and like you said, it’s very simple which is perhaps why some people don’t get it. To often people want complex answers, when it really isn’t necessary. Simple is duplicatable!

Do check her out, especially her FREE Monday night training calls, http://danijohnson.com. The woman is a multi millionaire, I think she knows what she’s talking about and IF GOD can do that for her, imagine what HE can do for YOU and I!

Hello again, Golda.  As always, a great post!
Seems everyone is getting touched by the "Law of Forgiveness".  I am too.  In fact, I can think of a specific person who I've interacted with in the last 2 days that I need to forgive.
And Teachability is another great one.  I see so many around me who are refusing to be teachable — and they're staying right where they are at.
After the weekend I had, perhaps I need to reflect a bit on the Promotion one as well.
Thanks for sharing!

Hey Grady :-).
So happy to see that you can relate to these laws. Forgiveness is a BIG one for many people, myself included! What I know for sure is that without it, you will be held back from being all that you were meant to be. Once I realized that it really had NOTHING to do with the other person…I was able to remove that self imposed blockage in my life opening myself up to receive what the universe had to offer me.

Teachability…my mother always said this…”a hard head makes for a soft behind”. The same applies in business except the “behind” may be the “bank account” Those not open to receiving direction from someone who has been there will remain stuck, move forward slowly or even take 3 steps back. Either which way, it’s their choice.

I LOVE the law of promotion. Very simple…if you want more then be responsible with what you have NOW! How plain is that? Thanks for your comment. Until next time…

Sounds like profound stuff Golda…
Doing this kind of work can make a radical difference to the way we experience our lives, and the results we achieve. There are so many suspicious and watered down teachers and self proclaimed 'self help gurus' out there, it's refreshing to hear about those who are genuine and really help people.

Love the Law of Promotion – Reminds me of the story of the kid in the Ice-cream shop. On the way out, she drops her ice-cream, and her dad says OK, let's get you another. But she sees the triple scoop super ice-cream and wants that one now. Do you think her dad should buy her the triple scoop when she couldn't even hold onto the single one? Manage what you have before you ask for more!

Thanks for sharing this, I enjoyed absorbing the energy of Dani's work through your post.
All the best,
Jym

Hi Jym! I loved that ice cream story and NO she shouldn’t get the triple scoop. It reminds me of my son who is a little complainer. Drives me nuts sometimes but I always tell him that wining and complaining is NOT the way to get my attention or get what you want. Be appreciative of what you have, which is a lot.

What attracted me to Dani and keeps me going back to learn from her is that she honestly wants to help those who are willing to help themselves! No “guru” status here. she is amazing and if you ever have the opportunity to see her live get you and your team there. Until next time….
