Edification: The Mompreneurs Magic Bullet for Network Marketing Success

by golda on December 28, 2010

When I started in my network marketing career I never quite understood the concept of edification. Why was it important? Well that was a long time ago and since then I’ve come to understand the importance of edification. You see, it’s not about you or me. It’s about your prospect. Mothers have a great ability to teach which in my humble opinion makes them great leaders in this industry.

So you see, edification is extremely important in your growth and mompreneurs have so many opportunities to edify. Every time you present your business, that’s a chance to edify. Who do you edify? Great question. You can edify:

  • Your upline to your prospect
  • Your prospect to your business associates
  • Your prospect to another prospect
  • Your prospect to your upline
  • A top producer or record breaker to your prospect….

The list goes on but you get the point.

Try it not once but include this in your daily method of operation and you’ll see your business grow. I’d love for you to share your comments below.  Do “share” with your team. Until next time…

Hi Golda,

I love the message in your video and it’s something we talk about on our team. You brought up a great point about how edifying someone creates a positive environment that is naturally attractive of others. I think edifying other companies is another place we can use your technique, especially in social media networks. I really am turned off when someone bad-mouths another network marketing company or product, it makes me totally tune out, but if someone speaks highly of a company they are not a part of, I’m so much more likely to trust them and want to know more about the company they are in.

Great video!

Hi Heather,

Thank you for your thoughtful comments. I totally agree with you that you NEVER bad mouth another company or person because you don’t know if you will need that company or person in the future or how it will affect how others relate to you. Leaders seek to create a positive environment where others want to be a part of.

Hi Golda,

Love your blog! I had never thought about edification, thanks for the great information!! I too am a mom building a business around raising my family but love the network marketing environment so much, it doesn’t seem like a job. The positiveness is so refreshing from the traditional corporate America where everyone is out for themselves.

I look forward to your next blog.

God Bless,
Trish Kirby

Hi Trish and welcome to my blog! When we are doing what we love it never seems like work does it. I love connecting with other mompreneurs, how many children do you have?

Hi Golda,
Great topic! I love people who are able to edify others. It means that they are confident and secure enough to see to good in others. This is very uplifting. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Karin! It’s always wonderful to see you here. Thank you for your comment. Since using this one little tactic of edification, I have seen an increase in my business. It just goes to prove that everyone wants to feel good and what you say about others matters. Until next time…

Hello Golda,
I think this is a great Post.
So many people think that edifying is in some way a bad thing, nothing could be further from the truth.
Great post.

Hi Golda,

Thanks for reminding me about edification. This is something some my uplines did in my previous MLM business. They’ll help you by saying good things about you and your business. This tends to make your prospect more comfortable about joining your business. I really love this video.

Hi Angela and thank you for you thoughtful comments. There are so many ways to edify and if we put this into practice on a daily basis, our business’s would really take off.
