How to Increase Your Blog Traffic Almost Instantly

No article today but I wanted to make this video to assist those of you who are bothered by the lack of authentic comments you receive on your blogs. One thing to remember is that you have to first be what you want others to be. I talk about that and some other important tips in the video. It's actually so simple that many people will over look it and think, "I already know that". Sadly, they are the very ones who aren't doing what they "know".

It wasn't until after I pressed the stop button that I realized the camera wasn't even on! Oh well, no do overs here. The show will go on. Anyway, back to the video. Are you bothered by the lack of comments on your blog and if so, what are you doing about it?

Thank you for this video! You always give great tips! I currently do not have a blog (shame on me) but am working on getting a Wordpress blog up and running soon. Thanks for the alexa toolbar tip. Often times I don't know which site is getting enough traffic, but now I will!

Hi Shaunta-
I appreciate you stopping by. The alexa toolbar is such a time saver! I’ll be looking for your site soon. What’s your deadline for getting it up? Remember, nothing becomes dynamic until it becomes specific 🙂 Until next time…

Thanks for the aha moment! I often read blogs, absorb the content and move on, and of course that is what I attract as well! I will definitely start commenting so that folks like you that are providing great content can know that there are appreciative eyes watching. Thanks Golda!

Hi Renee-
Thanks for commenting 🙂
People are always watching and reading and it puts a little spring in your step when someone takes the time to leave a few words of appreciation. I love the colors on your site and I think you should include your photo. We want to “see” you! Until next time…

Hey Golda
I recently read to get your readers to comment, use social media, click the link, etc. you have to specifically request the action(s) you want the reader to take in your call to action.  The popular author suggested providing your readers with mulitple ways (commenting, liking, Google +1, tweeting) to engage with you and your content.   And it goes without saying but we have to provide content that is so good that it demands our readers to take action.

Absolutely, content rules! Then making it easy for your readers to not only share but comment as well. For example, if I have to log-in to leave a comment, chances are that I won’t. Thanks for sharing Gerardo…now where’s that gravatar? Until next time…

Hello Golda,
What an awesome video about getting more traffic to your blog. I'm always learning from you as you are an EXPERT in blogging. I went from 1,191,000 on Alexa and now I'm down to 584,699 and now I have another way to get that ranking lower faster.
Thank you so much for the value you put out on your blog and I can't wait for the next tip….

Hey Golda!
THIS specific strategy you shared in this video is EXACTLY how I found your site!
So, hey… it really does work.  😉
And I agree with you totally about content/value based comments… When I take the time to read comments that I feel are valuable on other people's blogs, almost every time I am curious just enough to click on that person's hyperlink to want to find out more about them… and oftentimes, I am more impressed by what I find.
Thank you for sharing this tip… Very helpful, simple and easy to implement.

Hi Kayla, what a testimony! That’s exactly how I’ve discovered some of the people that I’ve come to follow and learn from. Value, value, value. It’s show a sincere interest in others and again, this is about building relationships. Thanks again for your comment. Until next time…

Watched all 8+ minutes of the video above and I have been doing that in some sense. I am fairly new to blogging (started in Feb 2012), and I have been searching on how to get readers interested in my material and I somehow landed on your page. I've come to realise that social media plays a humongous role, and along with participating in forums that are close somewhat to niche of choice.

Hi Wayne. Want readers to your site, then you have to write about what people interested in learning. Listen to the market place. What are people interested in? Listen and respond…AND you can’t ignore social media. Thanks for commenting…until next time…
