If you are or have been involved in any type of network marketing company have you ever wondered why most of the representatives aren’t making any money? After marinating on that question, I think that I have come up with the answer. It boils down to what I have titled “The 3 A’s of Doing Business”. To sum it up, it has to do with attitude, action, and accountability. Concepts that you’ve heard before, yes, but …
It’s no secret that when you find a success formula, you emulate it and keep it moving! Yet, only a few will to take that advice. So if you are finally ready for a simple easy to follow blueprint keep reading.
Jeffrey Gitomer says “It’s the thoughts behind the words you speak that create your attitude.” Read that last sentence again and let it sink in because it is very important. What are you saying to yourself? The better question is do you believe what you are saying to yourself? How many times have you looked in a mirror and said to your reflection “I deserve to be financially wealthy” but in the back of your mind, deep down inside, that little small voice is telling you “who are you kidding!” You are in total control of your attitude, yet it’s the one thing that most people do not take the time to study. Just 10 minutes a day, no make it 20 minutes, expose yourself to something positive. Do this every day for a year and you are bound to have a much better attitude than you have today.
The second A in doing business is action. As a business builder in the network marketing industry I often go to industry seminars. Over the years I have spent money on event tickets, airline tickets, hotel rooms, meals and let’s not forget all the products purchased at those events. I can proudly say that I have utilized the information from all of them. However, I know many people who I call seminar junkies. You know these people, they attend ever seminar and when the sales pitch starts they rush to the back of the room and get the course at the “special today only” price. What happens next? Nothing, that’s what, they go home and the materials sit on their bookshelves collecting dust. No ACTION. If you want to be successful in your network marketing business you must take action. Develop and implement your marketing strategy. Contact your leads and follow up with clients. Focus on your money making activities.
Accountability, you either love it or you hate it. Here’s the thing, accountability has nothing to do with the person you are “reporting” to. It is for you. To help you focus and keep pressing forward doing what you need to do on a daily basis to get ahead in your business. How will you get accountability? Through a mastermind group? One on one or group coaching? How much more likely are you willing to follow through on a task if you know that at the end of the day or week you have to answer to someone else? Remember, it’s not in judgment. Instead, use it as a tool to help you grow into the leader that you want to be. Here’s some advice regarding accountability, make sure the person you are taking advice from or being accountable to has some measurable success. In addition, every successful business person I know has someone they are accountable to, so don’t short change the process, rather, embrace it.

Attitude), take immediate action, and have an accountability partner. I like to keep it simple. Do that and your checking account will sing with joy.
