Social Media Marketing Tip #12- Sharing Is Sexy!!!

by golda on September 24, 2010

Did your mother ever tell you to share? How did it make you feel? Good I hope! Sharing is good especially when you enjoy what you’re sharing. With regards to social media, what’s the quickest way to get what you? To help as many people get what they want, that’s how. There is only so much that we can do on our own, that’s why we leverage the relationships we have with other people. When you have a group of people working together towards a common goal the results are amazing. That’s the power of a tribe. What is a tribe you ask? Check out this video===>

So here’s the deal…if you are serious about blogging then you need to be an active member of a tribe. This is my tribe, http://goldasmith.com/tsa. I certainly hope that you found some value in this post, if so please share your comments below. Better yet why don’t you share this with your social network, I’m sure that there is someone who will appreciate it 🙂

Golda, Great tip on sharing others content! Being part of a tribe community and sharing others content is a great way to get more traffic! I agree with you that when you leave a comment on someones blog to make it meaningful. I think we should leave comments that relate to the blogpost. So yes, sharing is sexy! I think you did a great job with your video! Thanks for sharing this useful tip!

Syndication is a commitment but pays off in the long run. And I am sharing the heck out of at least 35 blogs a week. So I bust be very sexy! Right (smile) Your are a very clear communicator btw.

Hi Gary! Great to meet you. You are correct in saying that syndication is a commitment that does pay off in the long run. I believe that it’s the time commitment that scares some people off. However, if you are serious about blogging then you will make the time to share, knowing that others will do the same for you.

Hello Golda,

This is my first visit to your blog and it a pleasure to meet you! Syndication is awesome. You are so right, the more you share and spread other people’s content, the more you get back.

Since being introduced to Tribe syndication, I have seen a tremendous increase in traffic, comments and optins on my blog.

But I must add, syndication only works when your sharing value content that people what to read. Pitching and selling stuff won’t cut it.

Thanks for sharing,

Anthony

Hi Anthony! Welcome to my blog. Tribe syndication is amazing. I agree with you that my traffic has increased as well and I attribute that what I’ll call “The Tribe Affect”. Like you said, it only works when you are sharing something that your readers find interesting. Until next time…

I love that line about what you withhold the world witholds from you! That’s powerful and boy doesnt that fit here! The world thrives on win/win environments, mutual backscratching works for a reason… both parties feel good! Great tip on syndicating others! (And great to connect with you through TSA)

Hi Rafael! I totally agree with you. TSA has been great for getting traffic to my blog. More importantly, people who are interested in what I’m interested in as well and understand the power of giving.

Five kids? Hats off to you. I have two and I love it! Have a fabulous day 🙂

Hi Scott and thank you for that advice. I actually have the WP super Cache. What I discovered is that some of my plug ins are not working, so I’m backtracking and trying to figure out who the culprits are. I have commentluv and that’s not working. I have no idea why.

It’s interesting saying that you don’t like watching video because I never heard anyone say that. I keep hearing how everyone should make videos but I recently made this comment on my Sunday webinar that everyone shouldn’t make video nor does everyone enjoy watching video…so thank you for saying that. I’m glad to know that I’ve got the right mix to keep your attention. Until next time…
