by golda on October 28, 2010

I LOVE Skype

I just don’t think that enough people are truly aware of the wonderful and powerful tool that is called Skype. I first learned about this about two years ago…maybe more, while watching Lady O. You probably call her Oprah. She kept mentioning this amazing tool that you can use to call and talk to people for FREE. I immediately downloaded it and was hooked. You can talk to people near and far. You can text, chat, even ping your favorite social networking sites from Skype. They recently made some updates and if you watch the video you can learn ALL about it.

So do you understand why I love Skype?!?

Okay, so here’s a quick recap:

  • Screen sharing
  • Sending files
  • Video calling
  • Groups
  • Group video chat (beta)
  • MILLIONS of international users
  • IM (instant message)

As a busy Mompreneur, you can get a great deal accomplished with this little gem. You can truly have network marketing success if you are wise enough to add this to your little bag of trick. Are you currently using Skype? I’d love to hear how you are using it. See you on the next video 🙂

Great post Golda. It’s surprising how many people still don’t have or understand Skype…If they only knew how easy and great it was. I’ll make sure and share this post with all my techno-phobic marketing friends and maybe they’ll join us in living in 2010…lol.

Hi Eiji and welcome to my blog! You can also integrate Skype with facebook and update your status. You will need to newer version of Skype to do this.

That was a very informative video and came at the right time for me as well. I’m contemplating adding Skype to my website and getting rid of Yahoo ping-box. I’m not familiar with all the features of pingbox but if Skype is more popular I guess I better switch. What do you suggest?

Thanks for the tutorial!

Hi Xavier and welcome to my blog. I’m not that familiar with Yahoo ping-box but at first glance it doesn’t seem to have as many features as Skype. For instance, I regularly use screen share and file share. I can do group calls and search for and connect with people across the globe. Skype has my vote but they are both FREE, so go ahead and test them both out and then make your decision.

[..YouTube..] Thanks for posting this informative video. I have skype but I never use it. Now that I know more about it I will definitely use it more. I really love that I can send files via skype and I love the screen share feature.
